Pineapple Celery Green Juice
Juicing is something that I have been doing for the past seven years. I love juicing and love the way my body feels refreshed and energized after I drink a fresh juice full of nutrients. It especially helps me detox my body and gut after I overindulge. Juicing gives your digestive system a break and assists in restoring it and getting it back on track.
As part of keeping a healthy gut you need to give it a break from time to time. This actually allows your body to restore cells and get reenergized. Juices are loaded with essential vitamins and minerals. Because most of the fiber in the fruits and vegetables is removed and they are turned into liquid, these nutrients are absorbed a lot faster by your body.
Drinking juice is a lot easier to digest. This allows your gut and other organs to get back on track and function the way they’re meant to be. This is when your body starts to naturally detox and get rid of any impurities that have accumulated. I have a very sensitive digestive system. Juicing always helps me get back on track with my digestion and back to having a healthy gut.
Benefits of this Pineapple Celery Green Juice:
I love to use a wide variety of fruits and vegetables when it comes to juicing. Personally, I like to keep a good fruit to vegetable ratio. I feel as this optimizes the amount of nutrients I’m consuming. It also helps give the juice a much better taste.
Although I like to switch the fruits and vegetables I use in my juices, this particular combo is my go-to. The ingredients in this green juice allow my digestive system to work properly all throughout the day. I tend to make this Pineapple Celery Green Juice first thing in the morning. It eases my stomach (specially after a weekend of indulging) and fuels me up with energy.
It’s also a very refreshing juice to have and it’s loaded with nutrients. This juice is rich in antioxidants, anti-inflammatory and alkalizing properties, and many essential nutrients. Most of these ingredients are great for easing digestion like ginger, celery, and pineapple. It’s a great juice to drink to help boost your immune system.
Health Benefits of Juicing:
Juicing is the process of extracting juice from fruits and vegetables. Fresh juices can be extremely healthy and contain numerous vitamins and minerals. One of the most beneficial parts about juicing is that it allows your body to absorb the nutrients it contains much faster. Juicing is a great way to detox and give your body and digestive system a break and get restored.
How long does freshly juiced juice last?
Once you have your juice you can store it in a mason jar and keep refrigerated. This process involves most of the fiber to be removed from the fruits and vegetables once they’re juiced. The juice can quickly start to get fermented. For this reason it’s recommended to consume your juice up to eight hours after it was juiced.
What you need to make this:
Ingredients:
*All ingredients should be fresh and organic if possible.
- Pineapple
- Celery
- Cucumber
- Parsley
- Ginger Root
- Lemon
Gadgets:
To make this Pineapple-Celery Green Juice you will need a high power juicer. This is the best option as juicers completely extract all the juice and nutrients from fruits and vegetables leaving the pulp behind. If you don’t have a juicer, you can use a high speed blender. Blend all ingredients and then put them through a nut bag. This will also help extract the juice from the pulp.
How to store your Pineapple Celery Green Juice:
You can make your juice a few hours ahead to drink later. The best way to store it is in a mason jar tightly sealed and refrigerated. Because the fiber in the fruits and vegetables is removed from them while juicing, fermentation happens a lot faster in a juice. Freshly juiced juices shouldn’t be kept for longer than eight hours.
Meal Prepping it:
Juicing can be a very time consuming. Juicing days ahead of time isn’t recommended since fresh juice can go bad very quickly. To make juicing on a daily basis more possible and easier, you can prep your fruits and vegetables ahead of time. Wash them and cut any ones you can ahead of time. Keep them refrigerated in a tray so you can easily access them.
Pineapple Celery Green Juice
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cup pineapple
- 5 celery stalks
- 1/2 cucumber
- 1 cup curly parsley
- 1 inch piece ginger root
- 1 lemon (peeled)
Instructions:
- Put all ingredients through a power juicer. (start with your ginger and parsley then the rest. These two ingredients have less water so the rest will push them through while juicing them.)
